LangeTwins Winery & Vineyards
LangeTwins Winery & Vineyards is the product of a 5th generation farm family in Lodi, California, whose ancestors emigrated from Germany in the late 19th century and began growing melons on the small plot of land surrounding their Central Valley home. Like most farm families, subsequent generations carried on the tradition and, through further land purchase and development, gradually expanded operations and, starting in 1916, began cultivating grapes.
Two generations later, twin brothers Randy and Brad Lange decided to leverage their heritage and experience and launch their own vineyard management company, starting with 80 purchased acres, plus the family’s River Ranch parcel gifted to them by their father. They proceeded to expand operations while building their own families and, by the early 1990s, their wives and children were also involved in the business. With collective commitment, in 2003, they made the significant decision to extend their business by launching their own winemaking operation.
Today, all of Randy and Brad’s 5 adult children are actively involved, striving to continuously improve techniques in both the vineyards and winery to make the best sustainable wines possible. The family now manages over 7,000 acres of Central Valley vineyards, using sustainable practices throughout. While most of the fruit is supplied to other wineries, they reserve a small selection for their own label, which while small in production, is managed with the same meticulous standards applied in the vineyards.
