Peachy Canyon Winery

When Doug and Nancy Beckett, a couple of school teachers looking for a better life, moved to Paso Robles in 1982 with their sons Joshua and Jacob, they never knew the life they would lead today. Thanks to a load of grapes they bought from Benito Dusi's vineyard 6 years later, they launched the Peachy Canyon label with just a few hundred cases of stunning Zinfandel that anchored their reputation for premium red wines.

While they now produce over 80,000 cases each year, and are distributed in 49 states and select international destinations, the Becketts still own and operate the winery, which is based in the beautiful rolling hills of Westside Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast, near Hearst Castle and Big Sur. They still specialize in Zinfandels grown on 100 acres of estate vineyards, but also source fruit from over 20 local growers, producing a range of varietals and blends that each possesses distinct qualities and characteristics that reflect the essence of Paso Robles. Their sons are both active in the business, with Josh now the head winemaker and Jake leading sales and marketing efforts for the family brand. Together, they continue the tradition of delivering robust and expressive wines for immediate enjoyment or long-term aging.
