Rock Wall Wine Company
Established in 2008, Rock Wall is part of a burgeoning urban winemaking scene in Alameda CA, across the bay from San Francisco. While this location boasts spectacular views of the city skyline, more importantly, it is central to the multiple winegrowing regions where Rock Wall sources its grapes. Whether Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, Zinfandel from Sonoma, Petite Sirah from Contra Costa, or Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands, the winemaking team is able to handle the fruit soon after it is picked.
Founded and operated by a small group of wine industry veterans, including consulting winemaker Kent Rosenblum and his daughter Shauna Rosenblum, Rock Wall is premised on the philosophy of “the right grape in the right place” and, with the team’s long-term relationships with several prestigious vineyards, they truly bring that standard to life.
Housed in a converted 40,000 square-foot airplane hangar on what was once a Naval Air Base, Rock Wall takes its name from the protective structure which made up the perimeter of the base. The winery has been retrofitted with state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and offers one of the most unique experiences available to the wine enthusiast. Truly a family affair, Rock Wall is committed to having fun while making the best wines from the best regions, and sharing their experiences with others
