Dunstan Wines
First developed in 1979, Durell Vineyard is known for producing some of Sonoma County's finest grapes, and Dunstan captures the best of what this esteemed land delivers through a creative collaboration among current vineyard owner Ellie Phipps Price, her partner Chris Towt, legendary vineyard manager Steve Hill and talented winemaker Kenneth Juhasz.
Located in the hills overlooking the town of Sonoma, Durell Vineyard extends from the Southern end of the Sonoma Valley into the western portion of the cool Carneros region. This location provides afternoon breezes that slow ripening, producing richer-flavored grapes. The vineyard’s sloping hills, rocky clay loam soils and low-vigo vines help keep yields down – 3 tons per acre on average – while its clonal diversity ensures great complexity in the Dunstan wines.
Dunstan produces extremely limited quantities of world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Rose each year, and sells most of it directly to its loyal consumer following. They have allocated a small allotment of their highly-sought after wine to CV to introduce to the Hong Kong market.
