Founded in 1997 as a side project to create some of California’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon, today, R&B Cellars is the largest family-owned winery to emerge in the East Bay urban winemaking scene, across from San Francisco. That initial total production of 230 cases of an award-winning 1997 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has evolved into a 12,000 case winery offering 10 distinct wines from 8 varietals, sourced from premium vineyards throughout California.

Throughout its existence, R&B’s core mission has been to create high quality wines that offer tremendous value to the consumer. And they certainly deliver on that with every single varietal in their portfolio, regardless of price point, having earned 90+ point scores and numerous accolades in critical circles.

R&B’s owners and winemakers, Kevin and Barbara Brown, are jazz musicians and perform at their winery events, winemaker dinners and wine tasting across the US. Their passion for jazz is evident in the beautiful musical labels and the fun, jazzy names that adorn their wines. With over 30 years of experience in various areas of the industry, it is natural that the Brown family has extended their passion for making music into creating fantastic wine. Their motto: “Wine That Swings”. And it does!
