Wine Notes
For LangeTwins “sustainable winegrowing” is not just a buzzword, it is a way of life. Started in 1980, this tradition offers not only a great bottle of wine, but also a great way to give back to the land where it is grown. Our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon carries on this proud tradition of sustainable winegrowing.
During 2009 the vineyards endured another unique weather year. The average winter rains turned to minimal spring rains, and in April there was a touch of frost, but nothing like 2008. As we moved into summer we lacked warm weather with an average of 85 degrees, and when the heat spiked, it was short lived. Harvest was typical until September when we received a ¼ inch of rain, and then again in October with 3 ¼ inches. It reminded us of 1982, with calm winds and humidity, but fortunately the quality was still great!
Our “Generation” series wines are dedicated to our philosophy that, by working side‐by‐side as a family, we are able to bring together wisdom from past generations and innovations from the present to craft the most delicious unique wines.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of peach and pear combine with orange blossoms as a welcoming greeting! This enticing aroma travels into the flavor and is enhanced with a silky‐smooth texture and mouth watering lime‐zest finish. Our 2009 Viognier does a great job of melding fruit with light floral notes creating a distinct and refreshing wine!
